FREEDOM

VS 4b, 4c / 30 metres

Film: 42 minutes

A Wye Valley limestone classic - giving two pitches of interesting, varied climbing, with an effort required for success.

Reward is a belay looking out over the snaking River Wye, with peregrine falcons wheeling overhead.

Freedom (and Wintour’s Leap which it ascends) lies at the heart of the stunning Lancaut Nature Reserve, where climbing access is dependent on a few rules being followed, so:

No camping, starting fires, nor littering; and don’t damage any vegetation!

Keep an eye out for dormice. One ate my sandwiches!!
